Add to Home Screen
WhenToMeet works great as a web app on your phone, tablet, or desktop. You can save it to your home screen for quick access, just like a native app.
What you get
- Quick access - Launch WhenToMeet directly from your home screen

Mobile devices
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open WhenToMeet in Safari
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up)
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Customize the name (optional) and tap "Add"
The WhenToMeet icon will appear on your home screen alongside your other apps.
Android (Chrome)
- Open WhenToMeet in Chrome
- Tap the menu (three dots) in the top-right corner
- Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
- Tap "Add" to confirm
The app will be added to your home screen and app drawer.
Android (Other browsers)
Most Android browsers support adding websites to home screen:
- Firefox: Menu → "Add to Home screen"
- Samsung Internet: Menu → "Add page to" → "Home screen"
- Edge: Menu → "Add to Home screen"
Desktop computers
Windows (Edge/Chrome)
- Open WhenToMeet in Edge or Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar (or menu → "Install WhenToMeet")
- Click "Install" to confirm
The app will appear in your Start menu and can be pinned to the taskbar.
macOS (Safari)
- Open WhenToMeet in Safari
- Click "File" in the menu bar
- Click "Add to Dock"
The app will appear in your Dock and Applications folder.
macOS (Chrome)
- Open WhenToMeet in Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar
- Click "Install" to confirm
The app will appear in your Applications folder and Launchpad.
What works offline
WhenToMeet requires an internet connection for all core functionality. However, once added to your home screen, the app provides:
- Form state persistence - Your form data is automatically saved as you type
- App-like interface - Full-screen experience without browser UI
- Faster loading - Cached resources load quicker on repeat visits
Internet connection required for:
- All event operations - Creating, viewing, and managing events
- Calendar sync - Google Calendar integration
- Real-time updates - Participant responses and notifications
- Data synchronization - All changes sync with the server
Troubleshooting
Can't find "Add to Home Screen" option
- Make sure you're using Safari on iOS (other browsers may not support this)
- Try refreshing the page and look for the option again
- Check if your browser is up to date
App doesn't load properly
- Check your internet connection - WhenToMeet requires internet access
- Clear your browser cache and try again
- Make sure you have sufficient storage on your device
- Try removing and re-adding the app to home screen
App looks different than expected
- The app uses your device's current theme (light/dark mode)
- Some features may be limited compared to the full website
- Try opening in your regular browser for the complete experience
Tips for best experience
- Use a strong internet connection when creating important events
- Bookmark frequently used events for quick access
- Enable notifications in your browser settings for event updates
- Keep your browser updated for the best performance
